Great leaders never show that they know everything, and they listen to their team more than they talk. Mediocre leaders foolishly claim to know everything, more than their predecessors and better than their teams. They typically display an insignificantly small attention span, and hence seldom listen to others, including their teams. In my view, good listening skills and an open mind are the touchstones of Effective Leadership.
